FT 2-2
The reserve team started the season at home to Benhall Reserves who had won their first game 6-1.
Two early Bailey goals got last seasons Division 6 champions off the a great start in Division 5.
The first a flick header from a Studd long throw & was then was played through by new signing Callum Powell to slot home the second.
Straight from kick off Benhall got a lifeline when a penalty was awarded & scored.
Benhall now upped their game & pilled presssure on the home side & were rewarded with a second goal.
Benhall pushed, but with some last ditch defending & some fine goalkeeping by Matty ensured the score stayed 2-2.
Powell then headed Sproughton back in front after Benhall failed to clear & Hillings crossed to the far post to make it 3-2.
Sproughton were determined not to allow Benhall back into this game for a second time, but the second half started with both teams pushing for the next goal.
The goal when it came was scored by Sproughton & gave Bailey his hatrick heading in at the far post from a corner.
Sproughton then controlled the remainder of the game to secure all 3 points.
